Why Choose Marble?

16/10/2023

A lot of the architecture in this time period was based upon marble structural designs with much of it still visible across many historic Greek towns and cities, the fact that these buildings are still standing strong to this day shows how evidentially marble is a strong and durable material which lasts may years.

Marble can be seen in some of the world’s most famous buildings, with the Taj Mahal in India and the Leaning Tower of Pisa both being made predominantly from white marble. It has been a key building resource for many generations and it continues to be to this day, with marble tiles being a must have item for the modern home. Marble tiles not only provide a beautiful look but they also have a lasting finish.

Marble as a product creates a sophisticated look and adds class to any environment it is placed in. Each tile has its own one of a kind unique design with different veining’s running through each piece. It is commonly misunderstood that the only marble available is the ever popular Carrara but as time has developed more and more variants of marble have been discovered, with endless designs, patterns and finishes becoming available.

Our marble collection features a broad range of options to suit a vast range of tastes. Whether you are looking for a simplistic and elegant marble such as our Carrara or if you are looking for a bold and unique design such as our Lilac we have you covered! All of our marble tiles are not only available in the stocked sizes as mentioned on our website, but they are also available under bespoke production, so if there is a certain size and finish you need for your project make sure you ask the question. All of our marble tiles can be used for both walls and floors with polished, honed and tumbled finishes all available.

One of our most sought after marbles is the Silver Moon. The grey colour scheme is arguably the most popular option when it comes to neutrals and it is definitely the most versatile. Our Silver Moon compliments this design idea perfectly, its unique veining’s bring a bold sense of character and goes beautifully with minimalist design schemes. Due to its ever growing popularity, we decided to introduce the Silver Moon in a number of different formats, it is now not only available in the normal tile formats in a honed and polished finish but also in chevron, herringbone, basketweave and hexagon formats with many other options also available in bespoke sizes and finishes.

For a softer look, the St Moritz marble is the perfect option. This marble can look beige or silver depending on the lighting of the area it is placed in. Available in both a Tumbled and a Brushed and Chiselled Edge finish, the tumbled option fits well into rustic settings, whereas the brushed and chiselled edge is perfect for a more antique and aged feel. Generally, marble is considered to be used for modern design schemes, so we felt that it was important to provide marble solutions for the more traditional home.
