2001
Ionic Stone was  established at the beginning of millennium when the UK building industry had been missing something basic but vital - good quality natural stone tiles at reasonable prices, hence Ionic Stone was born in 2001. Armed with our passion for natural stone and the ambition to introduce beautiful and original tiles to the UK market, Ionic Stone acquired their first UK head office base, a small warehouse in North London. Soon after this we set out upon delivering our products via one company van, this set us on the road to becoming one of the main natural stone distributors and wholesalers in the UK.

2006
Due to constant expansion, we acquired our 1st depot and current headquarters, in St Albans Hertfordshire. With this increased capacity, we had been able to increase our natural stone product ranges with more varieties and sizes.

2012
After the global credit crisis, a decision was taken to vertically enlarge the firm into stone processing. In 2012, a state-of-the-art processing plant in Turkiye began its operations and two marble quarries (one in Burdur and the other in Balikesir) were acquired.

2014
The R&D division of the Denizli factory, called ION, was established. Ionic Stone is the only Turkish stone processing company that has been certified by two ministries of Turkiye (Science, Technology & Industry, and Economy) to bear the "R&D Company" status as it requires constant investment in Research & Development, and formally set procedures. The R&D Company status enables companies to receive incentives for the R&D activities that they perform. ION worked to improve the status of the current machinery, invented new ways of processing, and make special machines for the factory.

2015
This is the year that Ionic Stone had purchased its 2nd warehouse in Lincolnshire, UK. The decision was taken due to strong demand in natural stone tiles as well as porcelain & ceramic tiles. Situated on 6000 square meters area, this warehouse has enabled us to increase the storage capacity and the product ranges considerably.

2018
Due to constant innovations by our R&D machines division, our Denizli factory has achieved in the processing premium natural stone selections originating in Turkiye with superior and precise fabrication. Ionic Stone’ broad assortment includes exclusive, unique and hard-to-process stones: from exquisite but delicate marble ranges of Taurus Mountains, to warm-coloured grand travertine types of Pamukkale. Moreover, the processing plant has been able to mass-produce innovative cuttings of marble tiles, such as different types of hexagons, trapezoids and chevrons. Since then, Ionic Stone has the ability to cut any exclusive shapes in a cost-effective way, should the volume be sufficient. To this end, Ionic Stone is the first mass marble tile producer of innovative formats in the world.
