Warm tones
Warm toned tiles seem to be a big hit with our customers as the year is coming to an end. Tiles such as our Olympus Cream Tumbled are perfect for creating a relaxing sense of comfort to any space and never fail in making a room feel cosy and inviting. Warm tones are also perfect to be used as a base for any design scheme and tend to compliment a broad range of pallettes. Sticking to a light and warm colour scheme also helps to make a space look both larger and brighter as well as helping to create a homely sanctuary in any space.
Tumbled Stone
We have found recently that some people are wanting to give their homes a much-needed face lift, but they are also slightly cautious as they don’t want their home to look too modernised and risk losing the charm it already holds. We think that this is exactly why we are seeing a steady increase in the popularity of tumbled stone, with so many different colours and stones now available in this finish, people are now able to give their dated interiors an uplifting revamp without having to completely change the style that they already love. Tumbled tiles are a great choice if you are looking to create an aged look in any space and they definitely don’t fail in adding both depth and character to a home. Tumbled tiles have the ability to look as if it could have been placed their hundreds of years ago but their beauty most definitely hasn’t faded in any way.
Checkerboard
Checkerboard tiles always seem to make their way around the trend circuit and at the moment their popularity seems to be soaring. The checkerboard tile dates back hundreds of years, being used in Victorian homes and palaces, and you have probably seen it in various different setting such as hallways and restaurants. That being said, the versatility of this layout is probably one of the reasons it is so popular, it has the ability to create a bold character filled look in almost any space, even in small spaces this geometric pattern has the ability to create a strong impact. We are also seeing a big increase in attention towards our checkerboard tumbled format, with a pairing of the Caria Luna and Ash Blue tumbled marbles, these two tiles create a more soothing and subtle aesthetic due to their light tones, but they most definitely still create to same strong impact.
Herringbones
Unique, creative and interesting are the perfect words to describe herringbone tiles. This format is fantastic for creating visual interest in any space and with a variety of different laying techniques the herringbone tile is also incredibly versatile. The herringbone pattern also creates a dynamic effect that helps to add movement to any space it is laid in. Herringbone tiles are available in a wide range of tile formats, so whether that be a wood effect porcelain or a bold marble you are bound to find a herringbone tile to fit in with any design scheme.
Minimalism
Sometimes less is more, and that seems to be what everyone seems to be thinking when it comes to tiles. A minimalist design approach is proven to create a calming atmosphere, and in regard to design psychology a minimalist design is said to help clear a person’s mind so we can understand why minimalist tiles are becoming incredibly popular. With simplistic tiles such as our Antalya Cream, you can pair these with other light tones to create a ‘less is more’ approach, doing this will easily create an open and spacious atmosphere which is perfectly suited in any busy home.
